Our Story

So Far ...

Story of the Yellow Walls

First opened in July, 2018. ‘Fratello’ means ‘a brother’ in Italian. With the purpose of delivering our customers warm and caring intimacy that could be perceived between siblinghood of membri della famiglia (the family members). Located on Pyay Road, opposite to Marlar and not far from historic Judson Church and vibrant Hledan Junction, our rooftop terrace overlooks Shwe Dagon Pagoda, the city’s main Pyay Road and Inya Lake view.

Fratello was structured in the lively Mediterranean layout that will bring you back to Amalfi Coast, Adriatic Sea, Costa Brava of Catalonia or Ionian Islands. Our distinctive yellow painted walls are inspired by those colourful houses from Mediterranean coastal regions. Out on the terrace, the lush green garden accompanies you throughout your rooftop dining experience.

Our Cuisines

Here, we serve phenomenal dishes mainly from Italy and the Mediterranean regions by using fresh ingredients sourced from local markets as well as other eminence items being imported from abroad. Our menus might change seasonally and it is seamlessly drawing from old and new, classic and modern, traditional and contemporary. Some of the all-time favourites include Insalata Caprese, Spaghetti Nero, Flat Iron Chicken or heartwarming Truffle Gnocchi.
